- Tap Select Video and choose a video from your phone, tablet or computer.

- Pick MP4 for the widest compatibility, or WebM for websites, and a resolution if you want a smaller picture.
- Tap Compress Video, then preview and download the result.
Private video compression on your own device
Most online video compressors upload your files to their servers. This one does the work inside your browser using its built-in video encoder, which often uses your device’s hardware for speed. Your video never leaves your device.
Frequently asked questions
Are my videos uploaded?
No. Videos are read, compressed and saved inside your own browser, on your own device. Nothing is sent to this website or to any other service.
Which browsers work?
The tool uses your browser's built-in video encoder (WebCodecs). It works in recent versions of Chrome and Edge on Android, Windows and Mac, and in Samsung Internet. Other browsers show a message if they cannot compress video.
Why did my video get only a little smaller, or larger?
Videos straight from a phone often shrink a lot, but videos that were already compressed may not. If the result is not smaller, the tool tells you so, and you can keep your original or try Maximum compression or a lower resolution.
Is there a size limit?
There is no fixed limit, but your device sets one: long or large videos need time, battery and free storage. The tool warns you before starting a large job, and you can cancel at any time.
Which formats can I use?
MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV videos in common formats such as H.264, VP9 and AV1 can usually be read. HEVC (H.265) videos only work where the browser supports them. The tool can save MP4 (H.264 with AAC sound) and WebM (VP9 with Opus sound) when your browser can create them; unavailable options are switched off.
Is the sound kept in sync?
Yes. The original timing of every frame and sound sample is kept, and when possible the original sound is copied without any change.
