IPX8 Water Resistance
The Galaxy Z Fold3 5G carries an IPX8 water-resistance rating. This was an important improvement for Samsung’s foldable-phone lineup and provided additional protection against accidental exposure to fresh water under specified test conditions.
IPX8 does not mean the device is waterproof, and the rating does not provide a dust-resistance certification. Normal care should still be taken around water, sand and other particles.
